Plotted are interquartile ranges (boxes) and lines in the middle of the boxes are medians. Statistical analysis performed with paired Wilcoxon tests reveals significantly higher microbial diversity in healthy subjects (adjusted p-values\(<0.05\)). B, C The plots depict Principal Coordinates Analysis based on the Bray-Curtis index between the above-mentioned groups in the 2D-plane and 3D-space. Some clusters of asthmatic patients can be observed on high values of PCoA1. Statistical analysis was performed with Analysis of Similarities (ANOSIM), and p-values were significant (P = 0.007, R = 0.1145)
